I'm disappointed about Gail's exit after Helen Worth playing her decades. She hasn't been on screen much this year, I hope Helen isn't ill or has other problems.

She deserves better.

No, sadly both actresses have since died.   Violet Carson died in 1983 and Cheryl Murray died in 2023

I know we have to have a few newcomers to inject a bit of fresh blood, you know, like Jack and Vera Duckworh and the Battersbys. 

Still, I suppose Alf Roberts is still on the Council. I haven't watched it for a while. Did he manage to stop them demolishing the Glad Tidings Mission Hall?  😀😂🤣
