Not been to the US often but have stayed in the French Quarter and socialised on Bourbon Street.

I really ought not make judgement based on the name of the deceased suspect. (But I'd suspect he was on a peace mission.)

NOLA (New Orleons) news agency. Apparently the car crossed the open border from Mexico, and was a rented Ford Lightning pick up, 2 days ago. He is a "US Resident" from Houston Texas and was in the military. The feds are looking for 4-5 others. He was not alone.

It's a shame really, it appears right until he cold-bloodedly murdered innocents, he was a lovely quiet muslim guy.
