Crocodile Dundee, in new york when he gets out of the Limo, he asks the driver "what's your tribe?" - that line was cut! FGS the idea is the character is an aussie back woodsman! ^&%$ing snowflakes.

Yes, [Take a deep breath TTT] I agree with you - these films were of their time and this should be recognised and accepted.

What can we expect next from the snowflakes: Days of Wine and Roses with all the drinking scenes cut out; Ben Hur with the cruel-to-horses chariot scenes cut out; Genevieve with electric cars; Gone with the Wind with the final line cut . . . . . .

Question Author

just seen the "that's a knife" scene? They cut that bit too! Un effing believable, that's the most famous line of the film and probably one of the most famous in history!

They do they "he's got a knife...." set up then cut the reply, can someone more up on trobbery tell me why that was cut?

In Crocodile Dundee, I am sure there was a scene when Dundee messes up when someone is trying to do drugs. Never seen that scene since, maybe I dreamt it.

That's odd. I watched a new Australian police series recently and the lady cop was asked who her tribe is. She spent a lot of time trying to find out. It was a positive thing, not a negative

Question Author

I can't for the life of me understand these trobiscites. I was doubly puzzled bu the cutting of the "That's a knife" line who could that possibly offend.

'That's not a knife. This is a knife'

Saw that it was cut when I watched it the other day. Other half was convinced he heard it so had to rewind back to prove it was cut.

Everyone that gets offended should be completely ignored. Don't know why we pander to the tiny minority who haven't got a life.

Are these bits chopped out to fit the adverts in within the schedules or because of 'woke'?

I think it's the adverts

Question Author

22:31 Have a day off barry. If you are trying to make room for ads there's a ton of stuff they could cut. There is no way they would cut one of the best lines in history let alone this film.

Question Author

I can just about see why "what's your tribe?" was cut but I cannot for the life of me fathom how "That's a knife" is in any way potentially offensive.

It isn't, that's why I think it's to make room for the ads.

You must get some sort of pleasure from this. You know fine well this happens when you watch old films and series on commercial TV. You know it winds you up, but you persist.

This size business might encourage impressionable youngsters to get machetes or zombie knives.

Better that a piece of film is cut out than a young man is cut up.

Question Author

22:52 FGS "That's a knife" is one of the most famous lines in movie history. They may as well cut "I'm spartacus" if they are looking for time slices there are tons in any movie no one would miss. This was cut for a reason we perhaps don;t quite grasp but it was for a reason. I persist because these cuts are trobiscite politicking, if you want to roll over that's your choice.

22:56 - Perlease!

I understand it was on Channel 5 the other day so you should e-mail them and ask for their reasons.

I watched Love Actually on the plane over and they'd cut all the scenes of two actors out of it so they didn't feature in the at all and removed all the swear words and ads were not featured.

say yes Barry for chrissakes

twas always thus ( TGL) in airplane the losbian card cheating scene is cut so that at the end the dummy ( body) of one of them clonks onto the dance floor withut explanation

poor dead dog knee-jair in Damn! Busters  has had a mottled history ( in first, obviously, then blooped out and then back in)

In view of the dead babies in Gaza, the  uncertainty in Syria and Leb -, Bombs in America even, I dont get my knickers  twisted on this sort of thing

perhaps I should

Question Author

In a TTTocracy it will be illegal to cut a film after it's been released. Issue a warning if you must.

Aaah, the joys of censorship. I found one US Art site which pixeled out the nipples on a Picasso - how barmy is that.

This is why I seldom watch terrestrial TV. If I love a movie, I'll get it on bluray.
