We are lovers of the wonder that is krispy kreme doughnuts.  We have made the pilgramage twice now to the haven that is the harrods food hall to purchase the little drops of heaven, however its a rather expensive way of buying.  Word on the street was that there is a planned store for Edinburgh, which is much closer to home, however how soon that will be is a mystery and Krispy Kreme won't confirm dates or even in what year that might be.  Has anyone else got insider info as to when this might be or when a store outwith the london region might be opened??

Oh my god, krispy kreme. I had them whilst in Kentucky earlier this year, going to Florida next week, will be one of my first stops! Unfortunately London is a little too far for me to pop to, when are they going to open a branch on my road????????

When you do go, be sure to try to be there when their "Making Hot Doughnuts" sign is on.  You get a free one and they are even better warm...

I bought some at Tescos in Watford and I thought they were horrid - the cakey bit was rather dry and the icing was too sweet. Not a patch on a moist doughy English jam doughnut bursting with tangy raspberry jam.

I've been asking this same question over and over, I too discovered them in America, Las Vegas to be precise and watched them being born. I immediatly fell in love with them so from that day on for the rest of my holiday I indulged in not one but two of these top of the range out of this world mighty fine doughnuts! Please someone tell me they are heading for world domination!

They have just opened a Krispy Kreme in Heathrow Airport, Terminal 3 Departures. I know that this reply is over a year too late, but I seen it and thought I would just share that.
