I was awake most of the night, and was going to post at 6am when I finally fell asleep! Then dozed on and off till 9, which I didn't realise how late it was! Ooops. Anyway, a dry morning here at the mo so hopefully will stay like this. Bin men due this morning - our day is Tuesday but due to Xmas & New Year is it Wednesday this week. Wonder how many people will have got  it wrong - at least 50% I reckon, and I don't blame them lol. They should also take our Xmas tree today too - they're pretty good at that. If you have a real tree then as long as you have it at the end of your garden or driveway ready they will collect it. Saves a very messy trip to the tip! House looks bare without the tree and it's twinkly lights.........

Morning Smow, bit the same here, woke at 8 which is late for me, you obviously needed the sleep.  Also suddenly remembered last night that dustmen are due this morning.

I managed to get an emergency chiropractor appointment yesterday, I have sprained something in my spine and twisted my sacroiliac joint.  First treatment was so painful and got to have another on Friday, sitting with a pack of frozen peas was not much fun either.  He advised it will take several weeks to heal, but hopes 4 treatments will do it.

Got to admit although still very painful I can at least move about more freely this morning.

Weather is dull and not very inviting to go out.

Morning ubasses - good that you managed to get an emergency appointment, tho sounds v painful . (I have utmost sympathy with anyone with any form of back/spinal pain). I am STILL trying to get an appointment with the Pain Management Clinic, which my doctor referred me to....... absolutely impossible : (

Good morning. Enjoy the dry weather. It's due to rain all day here in Plymouth...it is now. It's also colder...brrrr!

I've got a grocery delivery later. I'm excited because it's from Waitrose. I've not ordered from them since early last summer. It's a small order and primarily meat. Theirs is excellent and they have things other shops don't like lamb ribs. The belly pork is also good. I'm not a huge meat eater, but I want what j have to be nice.

Meanwhile...my fish comes from Lidl and Aldi 😂

ubasses, I hope you get some relief. Back pain is awful. I put my back out 2x this year...just stupid movements and I'm in pain for several weeks.

I hope you are hassling everyone possible about your pain Smow, do they know what is causing it, that can sometimes be half the battle.

Morning all. Just frosty here this morning, I dont think the lanes have been gritted so it was a bit treacherous when OH drove to the station earlier.

No plans for today, just to keep warm. Smow, I think its disgraceful you are getting so little support for your pain control. Is it time to complain loudly or have you already done that?

Morning all. I had been planning to go for a long walk, but it's a bit cold and grey outside and snow is forecast for later. So I'll stay in and wait for my Asda delivery and do a crossword. 
Pasta, I was interested to read about the good meat from Waitrose. I can't trust myself to go into their shops now, I always spend way more than I intended. I'll look at their website.

Back pain is dreadful and there are so many blooming things that can cause it.

Could I please have rain tomorrow afternoon? Have hospital appointment and would prefer that to frost/snow, got enough mobility issues without threat of slippage :)1

Back pain is no laughing matter & then someone laughs at (maybe with) you because you can't stand straight & then you laugh as well which makes it worse.

Clover, I don't dare go into Waitrose either. The closest is a 30 minute bus ride away...just as well. I went with my daughter and her partner to the absolutely huge one they sometimes go to in London. I'm like a kid in a candy shop. Their veg is always good too. It's a treat once in a while.

Hi all, I'm glad you an at least get around more freely, ubasses, even tho still painful. Hope it doesn't last too long.Its grey here today. Was white and icy this morning. Cleared a bit now. My daughter slipped over as she was taking her son/ my grandson to school this morning. Fell on her hip but no damage done except pride! ..I like Waitrose too but always spend far too much money in there! I usually only want a couple of things and end up with nearly a trolly full. This has to stop.. 😁
