Help with last couple please?
Clues annotated with (Sc) will be a Scottish or Scottish dialect word, term or slang. If not annotated (Sc) then it's a normal British/English word or term. I can't guarantee given letters are correct yet as it's difficult, sometimes with obscure spelling variations.
8d. Smithereens (Sc NE) (13) ?R?C?A???T?O?
Maybe a Doric or Aberdeen local word with that meaning?
17a. Said before a meal (Sc) (9) ???H?N?I?
All I can find reference to is Grace or Selkirk Grace
Many thanks

15a.
Based on letter count of 7d making 15a end in letter E
Letter count of 15a is ?H?E
So both THAE and THEE would fit. The Scottish dictionary alludes to THEE meaning something completely alien to the clue - while THAE shows as pro/adj of thay, them, those.
Dictionaries of the Scots Language:: SND :: thae pron adj
Hence going for THAE
