Remove Suction Nozzle On A Karcher Wv1 Window Vac.

I just bought the above and clipped the nozzle into place easily enough. Now I can't remove it. The only instruction is a diagram showing a screwdriver apparently being pushed into a little hole just below the underside of the nozzle. But I'm scared of poking in there - there's no indication that the screwdrive should be turned, just poked in.

Does anyone know how to go about this?

I've had a look at the picture on the guide and it just looks like a pin you need to push down to release the nozzle (so a small screwdriver or a metal skewer would do) and then pull the nozzle off.

Thanks. Corby. I'm thinking the same but thought I'd check it out before probing. I don't really need to remove the nozzle (unlike the WV2 which needs it to allow emptying the water reservoir); If the need arises I'll just take a chance and see what happens.

Karcher's bot told me...

"The suction head can be removed from the WV1 using a screwdriver. Under the head you will find a small hole which if you push will release the head from the main body of the machine."

I haven't tried this yet.

I also saw a video where the bloke just grabbed the nozzle and pulled it off. I won't try except as a last resort.

I seen a similar video but it was a different model number.

Yes, the screwdriver worked. I think a thin (2-3 mm) blunt rod would be better, as the probe needs to push back a plastic tab, and a screwdriver scratches the plastic.

My old WV2 has two push buttons which you squeeze with your fingers, and that's much easier than probing. But the WV2 needs it to be done each time you want to empty the water bottle (i.e. every day). Not necessary with the WV1.

Thanks for your feedback.
