Actually just read it properly I think all of it is common sense :D

As your link is from a US Government website, Bluefortress, I'm surprised that their President hasn't simply issued an Executive Order, prohibiting any strong winds from crossing the country's borders 😁

I can't imagine how I could jump (not step!) out of my car without touching the metal exterior. You'd need to be a tiny gymnast.

Seems to be common sense - but I have had to make two 10 mile trips, plus return journeys today.  Basically, watch trees by the side of the road - and at the same time watch out for broken branches on the road; get past trees as fast as possible and hang onto the steering wheel for grim death.

I'm home safely, but it's been a bit hairy at times.

^^^^^^^I didn't read that far Cloverjo!

I liked "avoid ... elevated ... roofs without adequate railing."

I tend to follow that advice all the time, not just when's it blowing a gale 🤣

Didn't you know the american's have always been more creative (and are willing to spend much more) than other countries

Interesting story:

When astronauts arrived on the ISS there were some written notes to make. They were finding it difficult to write with pens as due to zero gravity the ink in the pen wasn't dropping well. So america spent millions attempting to design a suitable pen.

The russians just used a pencil.

The graphite must've got everywhere.
