I bet.  I honestly don't know what to suggest.  Just awful.

I'm just venting.

whilst we had battery packs we didn't have secondary heating or light and of course that's rarer than hens teeth

At times like that it makes you wonder who got to all the emergency provisions first.

I believe our small area got hit very badly luckily the old folks a mike up the road was sorted very quickly.

what annoy me is the smugness of the people with power and with solar batteries! There has been a few crosswords between neighbours.

Others have been fantastic and offering charging facilities

Good luck with it being restored soon.

Unsure what else to suggest/say.

There are pockets of outage here and expected to last until Saturday. Quite a few a few people have booked into hotels until the power returns. An apt occasion for "it's an ill wind that blow nobody good", an unexpected bonus for the hotels.

Unbelievable how unwilling some are to help others.  If I was one of the few that had power I'd be cooking casseroles and stuff to take to people.

I was thinking the same, I had some stew that defrosted in the freezer so I heated up what we didn't need and took it to the old man who lives in the farmhouse backed onto our field.

bless you he said I have lived here 50 years and am well prepared, do you want some hot water in a flask!!

How are the dogs?

Hi Tilly and that's the reason we are not in a hotel!!

The older ones are wearing jumpers and when they are sleeping we cover them up, the younger has a post operative vest on which is helpful but she just plonks down in front of the fire!

Any progress today DDIL?

pleased you have a fire going, and can heat up food.

stay warm and treat yourself to a hot breakfast in the nearest place with power!
