I think that is very likely. When the government gives out figures, folk from other cultures who are here certainly seem to figure in greater numbers than their proportion of the UK population would lead one to predict.

10.07pm - We don't know because unlike at least one Scandanavian country* the UK doesn't provide stats for foreigners committing crime (probably for 'social cohesion' reasons or similar cobblers).

*this does show that foreigners as a proportion of total population do commit more crimes.

We can draw a conclusion from the prison population though - foreigners account for 12% of the total prison population which shows they are far far more likely to commit crimes than us Brits.

Not just the last 15 years - I think 2nd and 3rd generations of immigrant families would be over-represented in the crime statistics if they were recorded and available.
