I have an incredible painful big toe. Started yesterday when I woke up and got worse as the day went on. Hardly slept last night with the pain. Also can't move it. Any ideas?
Long shot but could it be associated with my hepatitis?
Thanks.

In gout, trauma localization typically refers to the joint that experiences physical injury, most commonly the big toe (first metatarsophalangeal joint), which can trigger a gout flare due to the presence of uric acid crystals in the joint, often causing sudden and intense pain, redness, and swelling; essentially, a "stubbed toe" can act as a localized trauma that precipitates a gout attack in a susceptible individual.
