One of my friends I haven't told her I work in selco as I don't know if should now. I feel bad lying but if I'm going to leave not sure I should.

When I tell how long I been working there what reason do I give for not telling them sooner?

Well, why didn't you tell them sooner?

The truth - tell them you never like saying too much in case things don't work out, and sadly, that's what's happening in Selco?

Question Author

Good answer the guy from the dogs home hasn't long known as another walker told him.

Oh no, not the 60 year old guy again ...........

Question Author

Yeah but don't matter now, I haven't seen him this year.

You mentioned him so you're clearly still thinking about him and what he knows

Question Author

I bumped into her the day before but didn't want to go shopping with her as I wanted to go dog walking which I did at first then met my other friend.

Question Author

Sorry wrong thread

Question Author

Well I haven't seen him this year.

Do your parents know you only work 2 hours a day at Selco right now ? You haven't answered this.

This year is only 32 days

Karamia... I don't know if Abbet's parents have guessed but Abbey hasn't told her parents. She stays out all day but says that's because she'd get bored at home, but I'm convinced she's afraid to tell them. Sad really.

I work at Selco - - seems a good start

You've said before that your mum advised you stay at selco because changing jobs too often doesn't look good on CV. BUT that advice was because she thinks you are full time at Selco. If you had told her truth that you only on 2 hours a day she would have told you to get into another job with more hours straight away!! I would have told my own son to get another job immediately - your weekly pay is barely above Universal Credit but you are not earning any National Insurance (NI) Contributions on such a low wage. At least on UC you earn NI contributions plus get free prescriptions, access to training, job coach who can help you get into another job etc. Think you are worse off in lots of ways sticking with 2 hours at Selco for so long. Best if you get any other job with more hours as soon as you can.

Question Author

That was weeks ago yes and I know my mum wouldn't like me doing 2 hours a day. I did 2 days overtime last week but not going to be forever.

Abbey, I didn't realise you stay out all day.  Where on earth do you go all day every day?

Question Author

Not no more she did say get another job but sometimes I go to dogs home or meet up with people

So your mum is now telling you to get another job but because you meet up with people or go to the dogs home you are holding back!

I think your mother is being very patient but may be beginning to feel like you can do more!

why not get a 2nd part time job?

Question Author

No she said to get another job if affect my mental health
