Want to travel to Madrid, Barcelona, South France and Rome. Is it wise to take each stay as it comes (via internet bookings?) or book this whole thing before i leave with accomodation too? Any ideas? Is it hard to be an English person in Madrid and try to get a plane and accomodation to say Rome?
Perhaps booking ahead just from each place would be best. My daughter found she had been unknowingly "pickpocketed" on her way to her hotel in Milano. Because she had a booking they allowed her into the room and full international telephone facilities. (The money in her shoe ensured she had something to eat... no parmesan cheese required.)
