Changed Email Password On Ipad Can’t Log In On Phone

Further to my previous question. I have changed my BT email password on my iPad and all ok. However trying to open email on my phone and it says Session expired please log in again. I can see my messages in a darker tone under the message. Is this a scam and how can l get back into my emails on my phone without giving my new password??

If you have changed your password that will apply to the account on all devices.

If this is the same email account in your phone, it may have logged you out for security, as you have changed your password, so you will need to log in with your new password.

Why does it say Session Expired?  When l Googled this it said it was a scam ...  thanks x

The  "email session expired" message means your current login session to your email account has ended. in this case because you changed your password so it can; let you have access without entering your new, for your security.
