my dvd player has stopped playing anything. if u stick a disc it in just loads and loads and loads and loads, never actually starts. does anyone know why?

assuming you're not trying to playback unsupported formats; potentially mp3 discs or divx, and it is just plain simple dvds, i can only think the laser which reads the disc is damaged. you can have it repaired but it'd propbably be cheaper to buy a new player; �20 will actually get you something decent.

sounds to me like you just need a lens cleaner. could be worth trying that 1st
