Trying to move but 'Charge' preventing me

When I seperated with Ex (father of children) we transfered the property to my name and I payed the mortage ever since but he is named as a lender alongside Halifax on the title deeds. I recall �10,000 being an agreed figure.

The mortgage is paid out of the sale proceeds and the Halifax would then release its charge. The same goes for your ex - give him the �10k and he releases the charge.
If he agrees the charge could be transfered to the new property but it would have to subject to the approval of your new mortgage lender and their charge would have to take priority
