Gadgets That Sit In Cupboards

I used to buy the latest kitchen gadgets but invariably they were very quickly abandoned and relegated to cupboards and eventually to charity shops, so I don't do it any more.  I didn't buy an air fryer when they were first 'all the rage' but I'm just wondering if anyone who did has abandoned them in favour of a return to cooking by traditional methods?

Reading about halogen ovens reminds me I had one many years ago until it gave up the ghost.   I did use it quite often but never replaced it (and now my air fryer is a much better bet IMHO). Nevertheless the glass bowl from the halogen is still very useful on its own as a mixing bowl.

Two items which I've had as presents whch I never use - electric can opener (it took me ages to get it to engage and then the lever snapped off) and rice cooker (simple saucepan easier to use and clean).
