I sing 'you don't bring me flowers' in the shower because I KNOW I sound like Barbara Streisand when I'm in there!!
I sing in the shower cos it feels like I won't be heard as much ... whilst bathing everything's really quiet and my terrible singing is too obvious! These days I usually have music on, I hav to turn it up quite loud to hear it in the bathroom as my speaker leads don't stretch far enough, so that probably annoys the neighbours a bit - hopefully not as much as my singing would!
It's definitely the noise factor of the shower that inspires my inner coloratura. I also sing while vacuuming, mowing the lawn and washing dishes. It's quite silly, because the noise of the appliances in no way masks my voice. (My cats will attest to that.)
The accoustics in the shower are loads better. The sound of the water makes a good beat.

Technically speaking though, my shower is in my bath so really i'm singing in the bath!

There's also the fact you can use the shower head as a microphone!
I always sang in the bath but my voice is such my wife had the bath taken out and replaced by a (large) shower. If I try to sing there I get a mouthful of water.
