What are my options??

Ive only got GCSE's and an ECDL course i didnt finish but passed 2 exams. I dint go college cos i was pregnent and went on to have my baby, so i havnt even had a propa job apart from some voluntry work. I wana have a good career something that pays really well but i dont know where to go from here i dont have much of a qualification.

have you given any thought as to what may interest you rather than a job that pays well?
You may have to start with a low paid job to get on the right career path for you.

You may find it useful to take some courses at night school or with the Open University in order to get some qualifications for a career that would interest you. My friend did not get many exams when she left school and has just taken an Animal Welfare diploma with the O.U and is now working in that field and loving it. You can get help with expenses for O.U or your local job centre may be able to send you on a course for a job that you would like

I say have a look at joining a temping agency first off that way you can have a taste of different roles and get an idea of what you might want to go on to do.Futhermore with every assignment you take on (no matter how sort the period) you will be building on skills and carry them over to the role. I started temping for a company on a 3 month contract. At the end of it i got a promotionand a permanent contract. Good luck!

I was going to be unkind to say that you'll never get a proper job that pays really well with spelling like yours !
But you are obviously now realising how important it is to have a good education and develop some skills and having a baby shouldn't prevent you from doing that.

Go down to your local library and get a brochure for the Adult Education courses running in your area. You can obviously use a keyboard, so why not investigate some computer courses. Competence in that area could then act as an entree into some interesting office jobs. Computer literacy could open a lot of doors for you.

As you may have gathered. It would seem that the you have to have a degree to get "on in this world". Don't lose heart. It would seem that you have aquired many life skills to date. More than some!!! Please don't dismiss your voluntary work. Reflect on the your skills aquired to-date, perhaps sit down with a friend/ parents/ aunties/ uncles and discuss with them your positives and SELL, SELL these to your next employer...
