sharp pain behind my eyes

When i wake up in the mornings i sometimes get sharp pains behind my eyes, mostly my right. My eyes also hurt when i look left, right, up and down, they sort of ake a little. Another thing is if i close my eyes and lightly touch my eye that hurts aswell! Basically my eyes hurt no matter what i do.... please could you tell me whats wrong or am i just tired and need to get a good-nights sleep?

Have you had an eye test recently? It could be eye strain.

Could also be a form of sinusitis, which also affect your eyes.

Then again, it sounds more like an eye infection.

you've recognised it yourself that it is not enough sleep. The same lack of sleep to make you vulnerable to sinusitus / disease. Disease will show itself from lack of sleep.

No medical treining here, but all the answers so far sound possible, but something as clear as this will be very easily picked up by an optician (who can often pick up causes beyond the eyes where the eyes are affected or a doctor, rather than try a diagnosis on a web forum. Also one would need all sorts of history, details of your sleep patterns etc., before anyone could pin it down further. I don't work on this site but I do on a similar one so I'm rather used to pointing out tips on forum use, and am honestly trying to be helpful, not rude.

your problem is quite possibly related to your liver, get some imformation on chinese medicine
