Disc Cleanup

Hi, I am not able to do a disc cleanup any more. The window appears and says it is calculating, but even left for several hours, nothing happens. I have recently had to partially reformat the hard disc and maybe something happened to stop this programme working. Could anyone help? ps. When I could do a disc clean, I used to have to do one for each user of the pc, ie 5 times. Can I do one to clean the whole pc at once? Many thanks. PM

Could I ask you to go a little farther? The postscript to the question was , is there a way to clean up for the whole computer at once instead of having to do it for each user?
