Yes it was terrifying. At least I know I'm not in france on a camping holiday, and there aren't any people stalking me. Then I really wouldn't be able to sleep.
The parents are still gonna get done for killing Toby though, and manslaughter for that guy.

I thought it was utterly predictable and used every cliche in the book!

eg when he turned his back the "baddie" crept up and smacked him over the back of the head, but then when the wife was in danger, he miraculously came back and walloped the "baddie" in the nick of time

How many times has this exact formula been used in TV dramas/films?

I know it's not real - but it didn't make it any less scary! Anyway, it's your imagination that rerally does it.
