Inversion Tables
2 Answers
hi. Has anyone got or tried an inversion table for back problems? If so, was it successful? Are there any health problems which would preclude its use?

If you are reasonably fit you can use it but never whilst you are alone in case you get stuck upside down.
I found it did get rid of my back pain, it works by stretching your spine and releasing all the tension in the spine joints, you have to completely relax all your muscles when inverted, I always got a pain in a particular place in my back when doing this but it soon went and my back stopped aching.
I would recommend them.

I have one and it's certainly beneficial for most back problems but it is recommended that you don't use one if you have heart problems or problems with your blood pressure. Unfortunately due to the prolonged use of anti-inflammatory drugs I have had to use over the years I now have problems with high blood pressure and consequently can't use mine at the moment. it's probably worth checking with your doctor first but if you're fit and healthy I'd certainly invest in one.
