Song where a man talks - doesn't sing...

Hi,

I'm trying to remember a the name and artist of a song I heard a long time ago. I can't remember the lyrics or what the music sounded like!

But, to give you some sort of clue: the track was NOT sung, but there was the voice of a man giving you advice on how to live. He sounded American.

Does this ring any bells?

It's more monotonic (computer generated voice) which is why I think it's kempie's answer.
