The question is 'what plant can grow up to 89 cm in one day'?

I remember seeing something about that and how it used to used to torture people because it grew so quickly. It's a bamboo of sorts. Do you need to be more specific?

It has got to be bamboo, I can cut my hedge one day and if it rains all day and night then the next day it looks like its been untouched for a week or so.
