ARE YOU A VET OR AT LEAST QUALIFIED IN THIS DEPARTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY Dog is fine she's been to the vet she's just coming out of season which they do,as she was in season when she was spayed just like us theres always risidual tofcome out of her(Better out than in)and he said there is no harm in the walks she does the more the better. She did rest ................................................................................
What lankeela is trying to say is that normally with young dogs that could still be growning then you do not walk for long periods of time with them 10 or 15 mins up and down the street is about right so that you do not cause problems with bone growth, but with smaller breeds of dog this may not be true as they mature faster, I have a weimararner which is a large breed and he had restricted exsercise when he was a pupster. also normally with humans and dogs restricted movement for 6 weeks is reccommended to allow for proper healing so lead walking around a flat field for around 40 mins should be ok but no off lead running around. Also vets normally don't spay when a bitch is in season they tend to do it 2-3 months after to let everything do back to normal. why did your vet spay during the season? also if she has been spayed then there should be no residual season to come out as she no longer has any womb for womb lining to come out of. I do not want to dispute what is happening to your dog and I'm sure your vet knows what they are dong but this is a very interesting case I will have to have a word with my boss about this one he is a vet at Bristol vet school langford.
I do hope your little girl is ok and that this is nothing serious :-)

Hi Clair. Thankyou, sorry if i sound a bit abrupt but i was worried and didnt like the way lankeela was speaking :( My dog is a large pup for her age i love her to bits and would never do anythinkg to harm or hurt her. Shd hates being in the house and sleeps all tim if she is which isnt good for her either. I have had plenty of advice from vets and where i actually bought her from. I only came on here for a second opinion, my freind is a vetinary nurse.
I understand you being worried, but the advice on here is very good. Problem is sometimes people come across as being quite abrupt when they don't really mean to, I think it's cause they've heard it all so many times before on here and get fed up typing the same things over and over again. I do hope she is ok now, but could you tell me why your vet spayed her while she was in season instead of waiting? I'm really interested I'm not judging incase you are wondering, it's just I've never heard of it being done like this, I'm sure theres a good reason for it I would just like to know what that is.
Hi Clair, My email address is [email protected], if you wasnt to chat :) im on msn too, she got out of the garden wen the bin men came they didnt shut the gate, i leave my door open for her so she trundles about wenver she feels like it, i panickd and had her done incase she had been caught :( tyhe vet offered me amisalignment injection but told me it also could cause problems so i decided to have her spayed. She hadnt been caught after all that so all turned out well :) feel free to email me on hotmal or msm it may be a bit more private, nathrichar is my sons name and was easier to remember, i culd do with talkking to someone who knows about dogs :) Yvonne x
