What is the point of this programme, i get sick of several pages of it in the press every day?

AGREED .... sick of this type of reality TV garbage (to put it mildly !) .... if I wanted to watch people interact in this false environment, I'd go to a local nightclub and watch all the falseness there !!!!

Although Im not keen on it - it is supposed to enterainment and if people didn't like or watch it then there would be no need for the exposure - so someone must like it.

The point of it is to sell advertising space at a premium rate. The higher the viewing figures - the higher the rate.

The general remit of any programme is one of 3 things. Educate, entertain and inform. It sure entertains many, but having seen it's live feed on E4 I can't understand why anyone watches it all the time. Highlights, though bias, are ok for me. As for newspapers, I've not bought one since Diana died. That taught me that the public are encouraging these 'rags' to ruin peoples lives. And, with the advent of 24hour TV who actually reads them, apart from them wanting titbits and juicy gossip at the expense of others.

Couldn't you just buy a broadsheet paper and avoid it? The space dedicated to Big Brother would only be filled with Posh and Becks gossip otherwise. Anyway, BB is cool. FACT!

It is very highly intellectual culture and spiritually and morally uplifting. Especially for us sad anoraks with no life.

So buy a different paper ( not all have coverage) or, and this is radical, DON'T read the bits on BB!! It's like folk who complain about telly progs they don't like. i thought most TVs these days were equipped with devices to allow you to change channel or switch off.

it is suposed to show you what people act like in an unfamiliar environment with people they dont know. however for this to work properly the people would have to be unaware of the cameras so that they are not just acting to attempt and get famous. as much as i do like the programme (just bb the rest are really bad and bb is heading that way) the press annoys me more than anything else if i wanted to know what michelles friends thought of stu i would phone them up and ask thanks
