My computer keeps trying to predict what I'm going to type!
9 Answers
Hi, bought a new computer just over a month ago. Whenever I put the cursor in a box that I want to type in (i.e in the ebay search box) as soon as I type a letter it comes up with a drop down list of everything I've searched for. I know this is mean't to be helpful but it's actually very irritating. It even does this on my bank, and phone contract sites (where I put obviously vital information as well as all my usernames). Anyone have any idea who I can stop it doing this? Thanks

If you feel happy using I.E, you blunder on with it. That browser is so full of security issues I wouldn't touch it and haven't for years. Every website you visit is recorded in numerous encrypted hash files secreted throughout your system.(index.dat). You can't delete them, only over write them and you have to boot in safe mode to do that. There are other programs that will do this for you.Microsoft to my knowledge still hasn't adequately explained the need for these files, (not that I've been looking lately) if anyone has updated info I'd like to read it.
Are you living in the dark ages?
This tree works for windows XP, branches may differ - obviously.
C:\documentsandsettings\<your user account name>\cookies
Right click on the index file and open with note pad. Happy reading I.E user.

Hi this is a bit random but i was wondering, if u had a box made of mirrors, (on the inside) and you could somehow get light into the box without disturbing the reflecting abilities of the box, would the inside of the box remain lit? Or would the mirrors have to be 100% efficient? and is that possible? or where would the light go?

1. The mirrors would need something to reflect off and this couldnt happen if they were all in darkness

The light would eventually (very quickly) be converted into other energies, i.e. heat, and dissipate this way.

Thanks for your insult, boink.
I your question is much more stupid than my answer, but I was civilized enough not to insult you for it, and I replied with humour instead.
You're not in a position to call anyone "non-intelligent".
Grow up.
