Xantia warning light - what's the problem.

My T-reg (1999cc petrol) Xantia estate's "STOP" and "(!)" warning lights just came on whilst driving. I don't have the manual, as it was lost by the previous owner. No signs of any real problem YET..

Any ideas what's wrong? Thanks, Jim

could be a lot of different things, the only way to find out is to take it to Citroen and let them tell you on their diagnostic computer.

Your real problem could soon appear if you don't.

The usual cause for this is low fluid level in the LHM tank- check this first.
This is the neon green fluid that is used to operate your hydraulic system-brakes, suspension, and steering. The LHM tank on a Xantia is under the bonnet and square and green. There's a visual float level on the tank as well- check with the engine running and the suspension height control set to full height, you should see a small disc on a fishing float type thing bobbing between a max and min line. If not, top it up.
