Pop up Pirate age

What age do you think this game is suitable from? My niece is about to turn 3 - do you think this is too young? Any alternative fun games? Also there is a little baby in the house, so it can't have small pieces. Thanks

I bought this game a couple of years ago for my then four year old. He found it really hard to push the swords properly in (it did reaquire a bit of force I found). I wouldn't buy it again.

We bought this game for my son for his 3rd birthday last year and it has only been out of the box once - he hates the pop-up!!!....we can't even mention playing it without him having a complete paddy!!

I bought one of these from ELC and took it back it was really poor quality. Other games that my 4 and 2 year old enjoy are Buckaroo, Kerplunk (go for the real one rather than the ELC bees one), Snakes and Ladders. They all need parental assistance, but good fun anyway.

Cranium Caraboo is safe, I can't really comment on how much a 3 yearold would like it as our daughter bought it when she was 5 and although she played with it, it was far too simple for her, so not much fun. Whatever next (ELC) is 5+ but looks to me like it would be good for 3 year olds, gets really good feedback, I'm buying this for christmas. My daughter loved the Magic Tooth Fairy Game, as adults playing it you have to act like you're enjoying though! But she loved setting it up and everything. She also liked Guess Who which I think is for 5+ but a 3 yearold could do, there is now a disney edition as well.
