i dont get it,life is the longest thing u have,u(urself) can't have nething longer then u live.plus ppl usually live on average from 75-87

Not on this planet they don't. Perhaps in a few rich, Western nations this may be the case. WHO (the World Health Organisation) estimate that even by 2025, only 26 of the world's (richest) countries will have a life expectancy that exceeds 80 years.
Meanwhile, in many countries of the world, life expectancy is considerably lower - for example Sierra Leone, at around 51 years.

But in terms of human history, (let alone geological time) - human life is short.

really i didn't know that in the US most ppl do live longer then 51.
and no life isn't short.
its the longest thing ever besides the earth and the universe.

Life can be longer or shorter ......but one thing is for certain.....the older you get the quicker the time goes by!

It's usually "life's too short to..." meaning there's no point in acting the way you do because you never know when you're going to die.

I'm sure all these victims who have been tragically killed at a young age were really thinking 'it's ok, my average life expectancy is around 75-87'

When you are young it seems as if life is going to go on for ever but...believe me when you reach my age which is pushing 60 you will look back and wonder what the hell happened to those intervening years and why has it gone so quickly. Also the older you get the faster it seems to go. It seems like yesterday that I put those Christmas decorations away and here I am on the verge of putting them up again. We are just a blip in the universe.
Some people do live a very long life like this grand lady here.

life is too short. meaning you never know how long it will be. so why put something off that youve wanted to do etc. thats what it means.

you could die tomorrow, so why stay in and post on here.. speaking of which maybe i should go grab a beer now...
