There are about 700 murders and about 600,000 people getting married each year (I think). I would guess that something like a third or a quarter of murders are by one spouse or partner against the other, so that would make about 200 spouse-murders for every 600,000 people, so that's 1 in 3000 people or 1 in 1500 marriages.
