I started watching this last night as I am half-way through the book, but I turned it off. They had changed SO much from the book that Icouldn't stand watching it (let alone the french men with english accents), anyway it made me wonder - what's been the WORST adaptation of a book into a film that you've seen?

"Circle of Friends". Lovely book by Maeve Binchy. So what do they do? Give the male lead to Chris O'Donnell, put not one irish actor in the cast and give us a display of the worst irish accents of all time as well as cutting the plot in half.
"water melon" by marian keyes was made into a tv movie staring anna friel it made me wonder why the even bought the rights to the book in the first place as they pretty much made up their own storey.
