I've looked around but it;s mainly little champagne bottle's with bubbles or sugared almond's and chocs. Im trying to think of things I can make to give it that personal touch. Any idea's welcome. one i went to gave mini packets of love hearts in a box. people obviously then gave them out to friend etc so that was nice
Buy all the guests a lottery ticket. Roll them up and tie with a nice ribbon.
minature of whisky to toast the happy couple
How about baking a cookie, and decorating it, then popping it in a little bag tied with a ribbon, make it heart shaped perhaps
I've seen tiny bags on eBay with a varnished lucky pebble with 'Luck' or Good health or 'Be Happy' to take like a lucky dip. easy to make. gauze draw string bags for sale.
My husband and I gave out small silver-plated photo frames.

If you've got a break between the wedding and reception (as we did, for formal photos at the church and a local scenic spot), have some stalwart soul who's handy with a digital camera take a photo of the bride and groom at some point during the ceremony. Make sure he/she gets you to approve the photo. Then have someone hasten to a quick-print place and have lots of wee photos printed, sized to fit the frames. Have some volunteers ready to insert photos into frames and frames into gift boxes. When your guests get to the reception, on their tables will be the very first print of the new Mr./Mrs., in a keepsake frame. Of course, they'll all treasure it forever.

It may seem labor-intensive, but if you've got enough helpers it should go smoothly. It would help, too, if in advance you go to a quick-print place and enlist their aid so they're prepared to turn things around fast.
At my brother wedding they put little games on the tables to help break the ice between people that did not know each other very well. They also put disposable cameras on each table and encouraged people to take candid shots of the wedding and then hand them in at the end of the night. It has made for a great set of photos of people having a good time. Much nicer than the formal shots.
At my brothers wedding a couple of weeks ago all the men got a golden envelope which contained a lottery ticket, all the women got a little box with one chocolate in - I know which I prefer! Also the children that were there were left presents in their seats so they would have something to play with and not disturb the speeches! They got some little games and a Spudtrouper and Darth Tater (Star Wars Mr Potato Heads!).

Oh thanks to all of you,Im spoilt for choice now! We already had the little camera's in mind as we don't want it too formal. I think the the whisky minature's will be the choice for the men, thanks for that scuba. Now im lost between the photo frames, cookie's and lottery ticket's for the ladies. What about a choc cookie with a love heart and a lottery ticket all in little bags? Thanks again. Daisy.
The disposable cameras are great a idea. Both my younger sisters used them at their receptions. We got back hundreds of hysterical and touching photos the hired photographer - good as he was - never would have gotten, just 'cuz he didn't have that intimate a rapport with the guests. When one of my sisters and her new husband got back from the honeymoon, my parents hosted a breakfast for the immediate family so we could look through all the photos and order duplicates. It was uber-fun.
