dose eneyone think that the t.v licence is a joke as you pay your fee (wich is over priced) and that covers you for a year then the next year you pay the same to watch repeats so we should have a rebate as we have already paid?

A ticket to the opera might cost over 100. A trip to a West End theatre will cost around 45. To watch a football match might cost 30. A trip to the cinema might cost 6.
So, if a service costing just 36p per day could only deliver one interesting programme every few weeks, it would still seem to be good value to me. However, the BBC does far more than that. It uses that 36p per day to give us all of this:
BBC1
BBC2
BBC3
BBC4
CBBC
CBeebies
BBC Parliament
BBC News 24
BBCi
Radio 1
1Xtra

Radio 3
Radio 4

I am quite happy paying my TV licence.. Although we dont watch much that is on BBC, I like the fact that it pays for more than just 2 channels. We do listen to the local BBC radio and I always read the BBC news page on the internet which is also paid for. You pay for all TV in some way so what is the problem
