refurbished cameras

Has anyone bought one of these before? Are they reliable? They are being sold for cheap by a powerseller on ebay and I am interested in getting one but concerned about their quaility and reliability.

Hey, i have had nothing but problems with refurbished items (mobile phones etc) but i guess it depends i mean some refurbished items are just resold as refurbished as dont have a box etc but i wouldnt buy anything that was once faulty and then refurbished cuz half the stuff i bought refurbished was still infact faulty when they thought they had repaired the item.
Personally i would just pay the extra on a brand new item from a recognised shop/store where you get a guarantee and can return the item if any problems occur

I bought two refurbished phones for me and my partner from Virgin website, both were exactly the same, mine lasted until I choose to upgrade a year or two later but my partners broke after 5 months, they were guaranteed for 6 months though. So i'd say it's pretty hit and miss.
