Seriously, get a hold of one of those Good Pub/restaurant Guide thingys for Glasgow. They'll give you an idea of different places you might like to go to, and you can phone any you fancy to see what's on at Christmas. Maybe even phone a few hotels etc which do Christmas nights? I don't think you're being previous at all, not with 70 to book for! We usually book our Chrimbo doo (in Edinburgh) around Sept...and tehre's only 20-30 of us. You're brave trying to sort out that many!! good luck!
Stick to your guns don't go to East Kilbride!! I organise the christmas night out for my place of work (no where near 70 people though!) and have already started to get menus sent through to me. For the numbers you are looking at you could try looking at the major hotels, i.e. The Hilton, The Moat House, the Marriott etc as they do a great range of menus and party nights. The Hilton Menu is out already and looks mighty impressive!! An alternative would be to book somewhere like a comedy club as they can often take high numbers, you are getting your food, your entertainment and (hopefully!) a good laugh all under one roof. Try Jongleurs Comedy Club - Renfrew St, Glasgow, 0141 332 2815 it is just under the UGC Cinema. Hope you get on okay - don't envy your task at all!
