will i still be able to use my vidio machine when digital tv comes in recording a channel while whatching another.

When you are recording one channel while watching another you are actually recording from the TV tuner inside your VHS while watching the TV tuner.

If the tuner inside your VHS is not digital (which it probably isn't) then it will not be able to record a digital channel.

I believe there are some freeview boxes with two tuners so you could record the digital channel from freeview on to your VHS while watching the other freeview channel (I think)
