Hi Sharm el Shiekh is a great place to go. Nice and warm in January without being too hot. Evenings require a light jacket or jumper as it can be a little cool but that's cos everyone sits outside all evening!!! I love it there, have been 10 times now and I am planning another trip for next year. Loads to do as well!
Argentina.
Bit more expensive flight-wise but pretty cheap once there.
I went in January 2004 and it was the best holiday I've ever had. Wonderfully hot, great bars, restaurants and cafs and a fab nightlife. Very Parisian. Lots of tender steak and gorgeous red wine. My idea of heaven.
I visited the Iguazu National Park and went to Brazil and Uruguay and even that was relatively cheap.
I can't wait until I can go again.
