Much-used ball left mark on snooker table (3)? Is the answer "old" as in "much used" or "odd" as in "oddball"?

Old.....Ball=O...Left=L...Mark on table= D (where they break off)

Many thanks for that. Have you attempted this months Guardian Genius by DOC ?

I'm on it at present.Lots of trees to slot in. I see on the Guardian website that there were only 53 correct enties for last month's Genius-the one with the 'Blackwall Tunnel'.
We had two of those but unfortunately were not picked.
