Sky + box

My sky+ box is stuck in stand by, does any one know how to re start it please, also , its hapenned a while ago, but i cant remember how it was fixed, i also neede to re programme hand set which i would also like to how please, thanks if anyone can help

Well, I don't have Sky+ but in the past when I've had a problem with sky and called up, they always try the same thing first.

Unplug the box from the mains and leave off for at least 3 minutes.
Then plug the box back into the wall and don't do anything for a minute - just leave it to sit in standby.
Then after a minute press the sky button at the top of the control. It should work then.
