On their 'How to get to the hotel' page, they quote a taxi fare from JFK as $45 + toll & tip.
Alternatively, they suggest using the SuperShuttle service, for just $20. (Check out the link from the hotel website).
Those certainly seem the easiest ways of getting to Herald Square. Otherwise you'd probably have to get the RailTrain to Jamaica station and then connect with the subway system (which seems to involve changing). Given that the taxi and SuperShuttle fares are fairly cheap, I'd recommend avoiding the subway.

Fixed flat cab rate from JFK to Herald Square [which is 34th and Broadway right by Macys] is $45 plus tolls and tip - so it works out around $55. Can take anything from 40 mins upwards depending on traffic.
JFK does not have an efficient tube link yet - you have to catch the sky train and this meets up with the subway but a lengthy journey through some pretty rough areas.

$45 + toll ($4.50?) plus tip, and 'you have' to tip $10. The best way is by taxi, to Herald Square... aka Victorias's Sectret world headquarters :-D Enjoy!

p.s. I've done this trip too many times, and a taxi is the only way to do it. I did the SuperShuttle once, but even after an hour, we still had not left the airport (going from terminal to terminal).... so no way I'd suggest anyone does that, unless they want to do it on a shoestring... The Newark Air-train is crap too...
