Can anyone tell me what the music is that they use in the ad for a car - can't remember which make - but it is a child rushing about pursuing all her many activities, she jumps and runs over her bed in all different outfits and the music is great - it is driving us all mad as we half recognise it and would like to play it all. If you can help, thanks very much.

It if it's the car ad I'm thinking of it may be for Renault and I think the artist was Plastic Bertrand from the punk era with the song:

'Ca plane pour moi'

which I think means 'that's the life for me' or something.
I used to think it meant;

"That's my plane !",

as in 'that aeroplane for me' - I only knew school-boy French when the single was originally released.

I don't ever remember it being subtitled "a Plane Pour Moi (This Life's For Me)" on the label - as many references indicate - though as I lost the record at one party or another many years ago, I will probably never know !!
From what I can remember from my school days the french for plane as in aeroplane is avion which would translate to C'est avion pour moi or something like it. (my french was not good!)

Anyhow the english translation of this weird and wacky song is on this link :

bizarre!

Thank you m@d h@tter, and brachiopod, I am now much wiser - not saner - the music is still driving me - it is a very good thing to tear through the house to, tidying up and clearing away, so good for something. Also, it is a MOVER, impossible to keep still when it is on, so perhaps some calories might shift??!!
