I don't laugh at it,like i did the first time!..But..the Fawlty Towers,Manuel and the "rat" episode, left me in tears originally!!...Also like the Dad's Army..."don't tell him Pike! " episode!
Lee Evans miming to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
Not really a sketch as such, but I love the bit in Only Fools & Horses where Delboy goes to lean on the bar in a poncy wine bar and falls right through the opening......hilarious!
We've got an old video of Rowan Atkinson live ( before the Mr Bean days ) and the part where he plays a waiter in an indian restaurant dealing with a group of drunks always has us rolling on the floor. What's really sad is that we always quote bits from it - whenever I trip, it's guaranteed my husband will say ' it is a tricky bit of floor, deceptively flat and unimpeded'
Has anyone else seen this or are you all wondering what I'm wittering on about?
I also love the two ronnies sketch, but I have another couple I love equally, Th e Chandalier falling in Fools & Horses, and when the blow up Dolls pop up behind the settee in Danger UXD another Fools & Horses Classic bit.
I don't know the sketch you're talking about yinyang but you've just made me laugh!
Also the scene in the office where David Brent is doing Keith's job evaluation " Very relevant , quite relevant , not relevant at all , don't know"
When I do my evaluation now I do that!
P!sses my boss off no end.
all time fave is when trigger is describing why he is getting a medal from the mayor??

because he has had the same broom for 15 years, its had 15 new heads and 12 handles!!!!

pure class!!

Im with you Bazile, thats my favourite sketch. There are loads of great scenes from shows such as the ones mentioned from only fools. I love the scene where Rodney spends ages telling Trugger that his name is not Dave only for Trigger to ask at the end if his names not Dave, then why does everyone call him that! I also love the one where Del does the trick about turning you hands over without touching them, Trigger does it and gives them a fiver! Classic!

Well unruliejulie and raysparx1 - so far it looks like we are the only three in agreement - there must me more of us out there . We will have to send out a search party .

Oh !! ... I know - there are others out there - they are just not ABers , having not discovered this great website yet .

I also like fools and horses - one particular episode that springs to mind , is the one where Rodney is invited to a days 'shoot ' at a country estate - Del boy turns up uninvited , with a sawn off shot gun .... hilarious .

( By the way unruliejulie , i'm intrigued by your name ... does it reflect your personality , being a bit of a maverick - 'unruly' ?)
I know the one you mean, yinyang..

''The Tarka Dall ~ it's like a normal dall, only 'otter''...or something like that...LOL.

I love most 'Two Ronnies' sketches..the one with the Morris Dancers springs to mind :o)

One of my all time favoourites is the French & Saunders sketch with Ralph McTell in court being charged with publishing a learn guitar book 'without the little dots'. Any sketch featuring the spoof musical duo 'Raw Sex' always cracked me up!
Glad you know it too, Pippa - I was starting to think hubby and I were having a group hallucination.
Digged the tape out again to have another look - 'no sirs, that is a table for two; perhaps this one would be more suitable for nine of you!' Love it.
Bazile, I do like the Two Ronnies and that is a brilliant sketch but you asked for our favourites, didn't think there was a wrong or right answer. : )
Brazile, you ask if my name reflects my personality!! LOL You'll have to ask the ones who know me on here as to whether thats the case! Ray's a good one for starters! He'll tell you if im unruly or not. :-)
Its a name an old, very special friend of mine used to call me and i like it!
on the subject of great sketches, i love the goodness gracious me one with Skipinder! Hilarious! "stop touching my bottom"
Bazile,

Some great comedy moments here, could also mention Tommy Cooper, with his dopey ticks, jar spoon, spoon jar sketch,he really was magic, only had to walk on stage and I couldn't help laughing,

unruliejulie, well what can I say,she is a georgeous lady, very pretty, inside & outside, I am very fond of her she is a real good friend, but has a bit of a wild side as well, leave it at that, LOl Hi Julie xx
the only problem is Bazile...she is to unrulie!!!!!!!

Hi yinyang

Of course there isn't a right or wrong answer - humour is of course , subjective.
I had merely observed that up untill that time , of those who responded - only two others had the sketch as their favourite .

raysparx1

I suspected she had a bit of a wild side to her .
oh ! and yes - Tommy Cooper was a funny chap

Agent _ Smith

What !! - you know her as well ?

unruliejulie

I thought as much - you are a bit of a free spirit .

Oh well ........ before my tea - let's just pop over to the
' war zone' - that is the news section; to see what's happening there .

Goodness Gracious Me...I am reminded of 'Going Out For An English'...wonderful stuff!
