Has anyone got a good remedy to stop this pls ?
Once on flight to Dubai, I foolishly wore tight high heel boots and I could feel my feet expanding by the minute but didnt dare take off as I wouldnt get them back on again.it was agony.
Since then I have found removing your shoes once on board and putting feet in an ordinary old fashioned brown paper bag might look odd but it helps, but they are getting harder to find.
any ideas on long haul ?

Some people are more prone to this,i'ts never been a problem for me.However, they always give you these socks on long haul so maybe you should wear them. Also wear open sandals that will fit before and after, and walk frequently up and down the aisles.
You might find an answer in the Body section rather than Travel-sorry, hopefully you'll get someone who has suffered with this and has found the answer!!
Yeah, I'd say travel socks are the answer. They are tight, and horrible looking, but definately stop the swelling. I flew to Argentina (16 hours) and wore them, while my friend didn't. By the end of the flight her feet were massive and swollen (like marshmallows in fact) and mine were fine.

Mine did this and I only went to Finland. They did not go down for several months properly.
The socks they give you onboard are not flight socks, they are to keep your feet warm. I wore flight socks on a 30 hour flight to New Zealand - really comfortable and no problems with legs or feet. M&S sell good ones.
