My kitten urinated on my bed!

I have a 3 month old kitten and I left it alone for the weekend. Last weekend he was alone over night and this weekend I was gone for two nights. When we came home he was fine and about an hour later he urinated in front of his litterbox on the rug. I left to run errands and when I came back he urinated on my bed. After I took the sheets off I noticed that he had wet a couple of spots over the weekend. He has done it both times in front of my Boyfriend/roommate but not in front of me. Is this possibly separation anxiety or a urine infection. Please help!!!

he is young enough to still exhibit 'kitten' behaviour, which includes pining for his mother, or in this case, his mother substitute, which is you. He recognises your scent (don't worry, their sense of smell is far more acute than ours!) on the bed, and when he is anxious, he leaves you a 'message' to remind you he is there. If you can avoid leaving him alone for extended periods until he is a bit older, and has settled into his new environment, he should grow out of it.

Who is feeding your cat while you are away? Maybe you could ask them to spend a little time petting the cat.

are you changing his dirt box often enough cat's are very clean animals and wont go to the loo if the box is too dirty, kitten should not be left a whole weekend on his own, was anyone looking after him, they are sociable animals, and need attention when young, if it persists in wetting, wherever if he does it spray it with pine or citrus as they dont like it,

This is definitely seperation anxiety - the "standard" response to loneliness, uncertainty and stress. You really should not be leaving such a young kitten alone for extended periods (two days and nights is VERY extended to a lonely pet, especially a young one). If you can't unfailingly give every-day company and affection (NOT just food) to your kitten, you need to re-think whether you're really in a position to look after a young, affectionate and demanding cat.

i had the same problem, so looked it up. definitely separation anxiety. they dont like being left alone for too long. they look for your scent and when they find a place where your scent is strongest e.g. your bed, their relief is so strong, they tend to leave a little puddle. (not exactly cute but bless...) if it happens while you are there, it is likely they are worried or marking their territory if another animal has been in the house.
