use of tanalized timber in an avairy?

Can anyone please tell me if i am ok to use tanalized timber, to construct an avairy for owls , this avairy will be an expensive venture, but most of all i dont want to harm my birds at what ever cost.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Hi,we have 2 aviary's with budgies and cockatiels in and they chew big time,the budgies more than the **********.We have used cuprinol on all the posts and woodwork as this is good and not harmfull to pets.If that helps you,then you are welcome for the info.We did have small amounts of decking left over which we seriously thought about useing as this is treated like the wood you mention...but after a great deal of thinking about it we decided against it just incase.Regards.
