I think I agree with you.

It's all very well saying "put it into policing and hospitals" but that's a simpleton response that echoes what politicians spout come election time and doesn't necessarily reflect how society can keep running smoothly- which is surely a government's job.

Getting the parents off drugs should no doubt also be important.

In the end, it's not where you put money, or how much, it's whether it's well spent.
