I've only got four clues left to solve two of which still involve trees. I don't think that I have made any errors, although there are some strange trees.
I have two ashes and two elms With the letters that I have in the grid the other tree mentioned twice is either fir or oak, for 14 and/ or 18dn. I'm also stuck on 8dn and 13 ac.
Any clues or hints please ?

The check letters are ?I?E?. This suggests FIR, PINE or LIME . It cant be FIR as this would give too many duplicate trees. The only anagram for LIME I can think of is MILE, so this leaves me with PINE. This gives an anagram of PENI - according to Chambers OE for penny. As these letters are in the middle of "stoNE PIctures" I wondered if I was thinking along the right lines?
