Know this has been touched on, but in the light of the sacked teacher/veil story, your thoughts please! Working for the above mentioned flag carrier, have just received internal mail to state that in light of all bad publicity, BA will now be reviewing it's Uniform Standards Policy, not because they believe them to be out dated, but because of the damage that this is doing to the business! Thoughts so far in the office tonite ..... When u apply for a job in uniform, you accept the way you wear that uniform, or you dont take the job!
Is it necessary to "flaunt" your religious symbol of choice for all to see, surely the closer it is to your skin, the more comfort it brings u?
And when in Rome... wouldn't be able to dress the same in Riyadh as u wud in Ruislip! Your thoughts....? x

I dont dare i do , now go away and do some thing useful, instead of just standing by whilst the likes of NH and youself sell this country down the line. people like you are not worth the effort, wouldnt it be nice if people like yourselves actually stood up for this countries traditions and cultural heritage for once in your petty little lives.
No thats to easy , far better to let any old gupta, mohammed and mtombe come here and have us change to suit them.
Youre beneath contempt
I am extremely proud of ma Scots heritage but no doubt you'd have a problem wi that.

You bemoan the fact that folk of a different religion come to this country and fear for its culture and heritage. How do you think the British Empire came about? Why is one okay and the other terrible?
That's the exact problem with this country: it's too up its own arse in "tradition" and "heritage" whilst the rest of the world changes.

If you can't cope with the idea of change then...you might as well commit suicide, you weren't made for this world. But then suicide would mean a change, wouldn't it?

How do you cope?
Whilst this thread is still running I would like to shamelessly plug my "Bid to create the longest thread even seen on AnswerBank" question.
